A New Edition Coming Soon and a Play!

I’ve worked very hard on a new audio play based on this novel, and plan to finish writing it very soon. Personally, and I don’t mind saying this myself, I believe that this story is going to be absolutely amazing as an audio performance!

Additionally, I am getting ready to release a second edition of Desert Magnolia very soon, so that it can take its’ proper place in the literary world.

Oh, and just one more thing. I have a short film script for this story, and a brilliant location in Ajman for filming. Are you interested in helping me produce this film? Let me hear from you.

I hope you guys enjoy this episode!  This podcast is just something I do for fun, so enjoy it and let me know if you’d like for me to talk about anything in particular. I had such a great time being the keynote speaker for the graduation this year, and my speech seemed to inspire a lot of people, so I thought you’d like to hear it! 🙂 Have a great week,  and I’ll be posting episode 2 of this season soon!

Missing the Southern Life When Trapped in a Big City

I live in a big city in the Middle East. This city has it’s good points, but I find myself missing the beauty and peaceful feeling of a small town.

When I was a kid, I never realized how lucky I was to grow up without noise, crowds, pollution and rudeness.

How I miss the open spaces, the sound of the crickets chirping at night, seeing all the stars in the clear night sky, the mountain fresh air…

I miss people who knew that it’s rude to stare. I miss the iced tea, the fresh roasted peanuts, and people who didn’t mind doing their own gardening!

And above all, I miss the people who go out of their way to help someone when they need it. Oh sure, they may gossip about you later, but until your crisis passes, they will hav your back!

Small town life…miss you more all the time…
